  3. Generate  a file TRANS.TBL in each directory on the
  4. CD-ROM, which can be used on non-Rock Ridge  capable
  5. systems  to  help establish the correct file names.
  6. There is also information present in the file  that
  7. indicates the major and minor numbers for block and
  8. character devices, and each symlink has the name of
  9. the link file given.
